Fundraising

Our Fundraising Committee have the unenviable task of supplementing the income we receive from donations, grants, membership fees and sponsorships in order to meet the costs of the organisation.

The role of the Fundraising Committee is of paramount importance and they work very hard to raise the money necessary to keep VOX on air. Even though VOX is not allied to any commerical or political body, we still incur the same costs and charges that a commercial radio station does. We need to pay for APRA fees, CBAA membership fees, transmission fees, telephones/fax, our internet service, the radio news service, repairs and maintenance, postage and staff salaries.

Regular fundraising activities throughout the year include our Radiothon, Triva Night, Local Band Night, Blues Night and a Country Music Night.

VOX FM would also like to acknowledge the financial support received through the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF).
